Shamshera box office collection day 1 is shocking
Ranbir Kapoor’s fourth film, Shamshera, a big-budget masala entertainer, is performing poorly at the box office. On its first day
the film earned Rs 10 crore. This is not a huge amount for a film that was made on a budget of Rs 150 million. Shamshera
may actually be able to open at a lower figure than YRF’s 2022 box office bomb, Samrat Prithviraj, which earned Rs 10.7 million
on its first day. Box Office India reports that the film has been underperforming in Mumbai and that the mass markets are not
faring as well. Shamshera, the second-largest post-pandemic release, is currently playing in more than 4000 theatres.
This means that the occupancy rate on day one is very low. It faces a difficult road ahead. This, combined with less-than-
positive reviews, should make it harder for the film to reach a healthy total. Komal Nahta, a film trade analyst, tweeted that
some shows had to be cancelled due to low turnout. The already anxious Hindi film trade is plunged into panic by the
